Guest Speaker - Prof Llyod Clark
Lloyd Clark is a Club member and also Professor of Modern War at the University of Buckingham as well as the Director of Research at the Centre for Army Leadership, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He is the author of numerous books, the last war being ‘Blizkrieg: Myth and Reality, Hitler’s Lightening War 1940’ and is currently writing ‘Triumph: The Leadership Journeys of Patton, Montgomery and Rommel.’
Lloyd’s talk will explore the breaking of the Hindenburg Line through the eyes of those that fought it, explaining the key decision made bu commanders and the experience of those on the ground and in the air. His talk will also explore some of the key lessons to be learned from the battle and their historical significance.
